A loan of $1,000 helped to buy items with which to stock her store.

Maria Celia's story

María is married. She does not currently have children but she hopes to have them soon. She lives in her mother-in-law's house in Oroncota district.

María's business is selling vehicle spare parts and other items. Her store is in a strategic location in the city of Cochabamba and she serves there from Monday to Sunday. Her husband provides a transport service (taxi) and helps towards the household expenses. María will invest this loan in buying items wholesale so that she can increase her stock and offer a variety of products to her customers. This will make her more income. María feels happy and grateful for the opportunity that she is being given. She is a young person who has a desire to do well. Over time, she would like to be able to set up another store in another area of the city.
