On 0.8 ha, he built several greenhouses where he grows 6,000 bushes of early tomatoes, 1,000 cucumber plants, 0.4 tons of potatoes, and 6,000 head of cabbage. Alexander isn't new to this business. His 18 years of experience show. Alexander has learned a lot in his years of farming, and he has gained the expertise that is important to an agriculturalist. At this point, his working capital is about 84,000 hryven, and his net profit is about 3,000 hryven. Alexander has turned to Kiva for a loan to buy 5,000 hryven worth of seed and 5,000 worth of Agro-fiber, a crop covering for growing vegetables in greenhouse-like conditions. Alexander likes to work the land, to plant seedlings, and to take care of the crops while they mature. He grew up in this environment and he can't imaging life without his beloved farm.
