A loan of $1,500 helped buy construction materials for his home.

Maykol Gerardo's story

Maykol is a young man who is 26 years old. He lives with his wife and children in the community of San Rafael de Florencia de San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela. This rural community offers much potential for development through farming activities, since it has a hot climate. This allows for the production of certain fruits that develop with greater force in this type of climate as well as the planting of mangos, melon, and other typical items of the area. He has managed to develop related activities and services in the community, such as the fattening of cattle and the opportunity of small businesses and micro enterprises among other things. The area is known for its national parks and its extensive variety of wildlife.

A few months ago, Maykol set a goal of improving and increasing the size of his home. It is difficult for him to complete it on his own, because his income at this time is limited.

He is asking for the amount of 750,000.00 (seven-hundred fifty thousand colones), in order to buy construction materials to complete and increase the size of his home, buying wood and other materials, since it is urgent to finish the wall of the house for the security of his family.

Maykol is a member of the Communal Bank "Empresa de Crédito" of SCSAR S.A. This will be his first loan, which is why he is very thankful for the opportunities to access the credit that is being offered to him and being able to complete his life projects.
