A loan of $650 helped buy soft-drinks, beverages, cookies, and snacks.

Bleidis's story

Bleidis, who is 34 years old, is a married woman that has two children who are 2 and 12 years old. She has a beverage store in the city's downtown. Her business began with the sale of small snacks, and when she began to make income in a certain location, she was offered the opportunity to lease a place. In this way, with some savings from her husband, who does messenger activities, she launched her beverage shop business adventure. Her income gradually increased since she positioned herself in the location, and her quality of life has improved. Today the demanding clientele in a competitive market has new requests, and her working capital is not sufficient to keep her business well-stocked, especially in the carnival season when her sales go up because of the increase in consumption of soft-drinks and beverages. This is the reason that she is turning to her Kiva creditor. This is the first financing that Fundación Mario Santa Domingo is doing for her, with which she will buy soft-drinks, beverages, cookies, and snacks. Her goal is to have her own house and to keep her supplies stocked and diversified in the future.
