A loan of $3,950 helped a member to buy bags of cassava and palm nuts.

Linlingnon Group's story

The Linlingnon group consists of 28 people who are involved in processing activities together. This is the second time that the group is requesting financial assistance from ALIDé, in order to increase their level of activity. The facilitator of the group, named Etiennette, is the woman raising her hand in the photo. Etiennette is 54 years old and a widow. She is the mother of 4 children, who all go to school and are all her dependents. Besides her four children, Etiennette has another child in her care. She lives alone with her children and takes care of the various household expenses. In order to provide for her family, she processes cassava and palm nuts and sells them locally in Benin. She buys her products in one of the regions of Benin. In order to meet her customers' needs and to increase her turnover and income, she and the other members of the Linlingnon group, are requesting a second loan from ALIDé. Their first loan was well repaid.
