Bissignon Group's story

Bissignon is a group of three women, the members of which are friends and live in the same neighborhood in Benin. The group's representative, Pascaline Médégnonmi (whose hand is raised in the photo), is 38 years old. Pascaline Médégnonmi is married to a dressmaker by the name of Vidékon. The couple has two children, both in school. Pascaline Médégnonmi lives alone with her children and sees to the various household expenses on her own. She did not attend school.

In order to meet her various expenses, Pascaline Médégnonmi has been reselling mobile phone top-up cards and cookies from her home for ten years. She gets her supplies in a region of Benin.

In hopes of satisfying her customers and expanding her business, Pascaline Médégnonmi is seeking a third loan from Alidé, along with the other members of the Bissignon Group. This loan will allow them to better respond to the needs of their customers and to make more of a profit. The first two loans have been fully repaid.
