Mahudjro 19 Group's story

The Mahudjro 19 group is made up of three people who are friends and who live in the same neighbourhood. This is the third time that the group requests financial aid from ALIDé, in order to raise the level of their activity. The representant of the group, named Victoire is the one with her hand raised in the photo. Victoire is 41 years old and lives in Benin.Victoire did not attend school. She is a widow and mother of five children who all go to school at her expense.Victoire lives alone with her children. She supports her own and her children's needs without assistance. In order to assure her various expenses, Victoire has sold fresh fish and different products (rice, vegetable oil etc.) in her boutique for the last four years. At the same time she sells wheat flour.Victoire buys her products in a town in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and increase her turnover and her income, Victoire requests together with the other members of the Mahudjro 19 group a third loan from ALIDé.This loan will most probably enable them to enhance their activity and make more profit. The two previous loans were repaid correctly.
