A loan of $775 helped to buy products for the home, shoes, perfumes, creams and cosmetics.

Ana Maribel's story

In the city of Charapoto, the Communal Bank 100% Charapoto meets every 15 days. This region is known for its traditional culture and, moreover, for being a few minutes from two of the best beaches in the province which are San Jacinto and San Clemente. In this place lives Ms. Ana, who is 29 years old and who maintains a common law marriage from which she has two children who are 9 and 1 years old. The older one studies in school. Her husband is a driver for a cooperative for interprovincial transportation. To earn something for her expenses and to feel independent, she dedicates herself to sales, selling products for the home like plates, mattresses, beds, blenders, shoes from a catalogue and Yanbal products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes and accessories for women). Her manner of selling is door to door and through orders. She works three days each week and she sells her products on credit and charges each week, or 15 days, her clients for what they want. She has spent more than 5 years dedicated to sales and it is going very well. This loan is to buy products for the home, shoes, perfumes, creams and cosmetics. She was part of the Communal Bank from the beginning and she likes it because of the help that the loans give her. Her dream is to have a place to sell her products.
