Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,325 helped to purchase more roofing poles.

Moria's story

Moria is a 32-year-old businessman who lives in Juba. He is married and has four children between the ages of 1 year and 7 years; two of them go to school.

Moria runs a roofing-poles business; he has been in the business for six years. He has one employee. Moria heard about Finance Sudan through outreach and promotion done in the market by the officer. He is taking a loan of 3,500 Sudan pounds to purchase more roofing poles. In additions to this business, Moria has no other source of income.

In five years time, Moria would like to hope for incremental increases in the business size and also to have a better house.

His major challenges include his low income rate and feeding issues only.

Moria says a lot of thanks for giving Finance Sudan support in South Sudan.
