John is a farmer and a father of four between 18 and 13 years old and all are schooling. He has been in farming for 10 years with his current produce being coffee, milk and maize sold to the local market.
John has made a loan request amounting to 63,600 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy and insure a dairy cow. He says farming has been the source of livelihood for his entire family. He adds once he purchases the dairy cow, his farming output will improve to meet his family obligations.
He, however, remains worried about the fluctuations in market prices.
