Santa Luisa Group's story

Santa Luisa is a group formed by 11 women from the city of Curuguaty. They are humble women who make a living in farming activities. They saw the program for enterprising women with the Fundación Paraguaya as a great opportunity to progress and receive help. Their objective on forming the group is to work together and help each other mutually in order to get ahead.

Patricia is a member of the group and she tells us that she makes a living raising and selling animals such as pigs and chickens. She mentions that her work is very self sacrificing as she must always keep an eye on the animals and make sure they don't need anything. Her goal is to be able to have a greater variety of animals and in this way continue helping her family with the household expenses.

She came to the Fundación and to Kiva to buy pigs, which she will raise and later sell. She is grateful to the Fundación and to Kiva for this opportunity they are giving her.

In this group: Epifania, Rosa, Felicita , Norma , Maria , Maria , Josefina , Ramona , Virginia , Patricia , Elizabeth
