Andryusha's story

Andrusha was born in 1962 in the village of Chakaten in the Syuninsky region. After graduating from the village secondary school Andrusha enrolled in the Yerevan Veterenary Institue where he received a degree in animal husbandry.

Andrusha is a widower and has a 23 year old son and eighteen year old daughter.

Starting in 2000 Andrusha has been doing farming in the village of Chakaten where he breeds large horned cattle and poultry and also grows vegetables, fruits and barley on his own plot of land. He also rents out a plot of land where he cultivates wheat.

Andrusha has a small store in the town of Kapan where he sells meat, eggs and dairy products from his farm as well as products purchased from other farmers. He sells his own grown vegetables, fruits and cereals to his regular customers in the town of Kapan.

Recently Andrusha has purchased a tractor with which he carries out sowing on the land plots of the Syuninsky region. His son helps him on the farm and his daughter is engaged in agriculture.

Andrusha needs a loan in the amount of 1,100,000 dram to buy twenty piglets as well as new type of barley for sowing, diesel fuel and fertilizer. This is a third loan which Andrusha is taking out with the organization Nor Horizon.
