Lay Houy

A loan of $1,000 helped to buy cattle for farming.

Lay Houy's story

Lay Houy, age 53, is married and resides with her husband and four children in the Takeo province of Cambodia. She and her husband have been growing agricultural crops for more than 20 years, earning approximately $3 per day. Additionally, her husband is a construction worker who earns approximately $5 per day. All of her children are employed at a factory.

Due to the lack of cattle, Lay Houy is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase cattle to use for farming. In the future, she hopes her husband will become a construction foreman. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to provide better living conditions for her family.
