A loan of $625 helped buy a milk cow.

Nodar's story

Nodar is a 48-year-old farmer from the village of Sartichala in East Georgia. He lives with his family: wife Naile and 19-year-old son. His son is temporarily unemployed.

Nodar and Naile run a small dairy farm, which is the only source of income for the family. There are two milk cows on the farm. Naile produces cheese and sells on average 40 kg of this product in the local market. The total average monthly income for the family is 300 Laris.

Nodar requested credit to expand their dairy farm. He will purchase a milk cow. With three milk cows, the family will be able to increase the production and sales of cheese by 50%. Their monthly income will grow by 150 Laris. With the increased income, Nodar plans to create better living conditions for his family.
