Chon's story

Mrs. Chon C. L., 35, and her husband, Mr. He Hal, are rice farmer and fishers. She lives with her family in the village of the Svey Tadork in the province of the Siem Reap in Cambodia. They both earn about $7 a day. She has two children, one of whom is a student. The other is just a young child. Because of her business, she can pay her family’s expenses and pay for her children to go to school. Previously, she successfully concluded a loan with HKL for two cycles.

In order to upgrade her fishing business, L. is now asking for a loan of $1100 to buy fishing tools (nets and trap). She appreciates Kiva and promises to be prompt in repaying her loan.
