A loan of $1,400 helped a member to restock her grocery store.

Shamshad's Group's story

Shamshad has requested a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for her grocery store business which she runs from her home. She sells different grocery items such as sugar, snacks, candies, cooking oils, etc. at low rates. With the loan investment, she will buy different grocery items in bulk quantity. That will allow her to fulfill her clients' orders on time and increase her profits. Shamshad has been operating her business for some time now and she is confident that her business will be expanded further after investing the loan.

Shamshad is the mother of 3 sons and a daughter, 2 of them work while her younger daughter is studying. Her youngest son is 6 years old and hasn’t started his education yet. Her husband has a job which earns a low income. Shamshad wants to provide education to her youngest son and she is confident that she will be able to do so after the improvement of her grocery store business.
