A loan of $2,650 helped a member to buy trays and containers for her pastries.

Juntos Al Triunfo Group's story

Sra. Julia makes delicious pastries. Several years ago, she decided to work for herself and be independent. She started selling her pastries door-to-door. Some time later, she started selling at the entrance of a school. Bit by bit, she won over the children so that they and the school officials buy daily. She was offered a kiosk in order to sell her pastries there. She has worked there for 15 years.
Julia is studying baking with the goal of improving her business. She is now starting to sell other food and pies for all kinds of events; weddings, birthdays, graduations, quinceaneras, etc. This loan will be of great help to her; she will be able to buy trays and containers for her pastries, as well as other supplies and ingredients. In the future she wants to offer a more complete service, such as renting marquees, tables, and chairs. She does all of this hard work in order to provide her two children with the best: education and a comfortable life.
Julia is currently the president of the "Juntos al Triunfo" group. This group has six members who are friends and neighbours.
*Sra. Julia is the third woman standing wearing the pink shirt.
