A loan of $4,550 helped a member to purchase clothing to sell.

Mujeres Valientes Group's story

The “Mujeres Valientes” [“Brave Women”] group was established thanks to the enterprising spirit of its members. The members have redoubled their efforts to improve their incomes and thus be able to offer their children the opportunity of an education so they can have a good job someday.

Avelina is one of the members of the group. She makes a living selling clothing, which she has done for a while. She already has a well-defined clientele that always buys the clothing she sells. She says that her goal is to continue growing as a retailer and thus keep helping her family.

Avelina is asking for a loan so she can purchase summer clothing, since the hot season is when she makes the most sales. She is grateful to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva for the opportunity they are providing.
