Teimuraz is from the village Chibati in west Georgia. He is 42 years old, unmarried and lives with his parents. He is the only income provider in the family.
The family owns two milk cows and four calves. Teimuraz and his mother produce on average 40 kilograms [about 88 pounds] of cheese per month. Also the family owns two hectare [about 200 acres] of land where maize, soybeans and nut trees are grown. Teimuraz sells harvested products as well as cheese at a local open market. The total average monthly income of the family is 450 Laris, including the monthly pensions of Teimuraz's parents.
Teimuraz requested credit for renting a tractor for tilling the plot of land. After properly performed seasonal work, he can count on a good harvest in the summer, which will be sold for a good price; the family will get their planned amount of income. Teimuraz plans to reinvest the income in further developing the family business.
