Rim, 43, is widowed and resides with a son and a nephew in Takeo province, Cambodia. She has been selling fruits for more than five years, earning approximately 4 USD per day. Her son is a garment worker and earns approximately 3 USD per day. In order to generate more income for the family, Rim is requesting a loan of 1,000 USD to purchase a generator that she will rent out. In the future, she would like to expand her business by renting a store for selling her fruits. She also would like to rebuild her present house to make it much stronger in order to provide better living conditions for the family.
