Chhork, 29, is married and lives with his wife and two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. For the last six years, he has earned a living by running a motor taxi and earns about USD 2.5 per day. His wife is a garment worker and earns about USD 3 per day. Because his motorbike is very old, Chhork is requesting a loan of USD 700 to buy a new motorbike to use as a taxi. The new motorbike will run more smoothly and allow him to attract more customers and generate more income to support his family. In the future, he would like to buy a piece of farmland where he can grow crops and earn more income to provide his family with a better life. His goals are to support his children's schooling so they can all get a Bachelor's degree, and rebuild his house so that it will be stronger and provide better living conditions for his family.
