Julio Cesar's story

Julio is 33 years old and lives in Chimoré, in Carrasco province, Cochabamba. He and his wife have lived with their children in Chimoré for many years.

Julio's business is fishing and raising fish which he sells to wholesalers in the city of Cochabamba. He also cleans and carries out small jobs in people's homes and cabins such as cutting lawns and doing gardening work. Julio and his wife led a peaceful life until their daughter passed away. As she did not receive timely medical treatment, they could not fight their beloved young daughter's illness. From that moment on, Julio promised himself that he would never go through that same situation again and would better watch over his family's health. Now he and his wife have another young daughter and she is the reason they are able to face bad situations together and, through their hard work, achieve the happiness that they seek.

Julio currently needs to buy a piece of equipment so that he can continue carrying out maintenance work in people's houses and start implementing some aspects of his fishing business. He found out about Kiva loans and, without thinking twice, he requested a loan from our institution. It will help him to increase his income and offer his family better living conditions.

Julio doesn't lose hope. He continues to struggle and work hard, and tries to get over the sadness that he experienced with the death of his daughter.
