A loan of $850 helped to buy an overlock sewing machine.

Gloria Amparo's story

Gloria has worked in dressmaking for approximately 30 years because she learned how in a sewing class she took. Since then, Gloria has been earning her own income with this activity. From the beginning, she set up her own sewing shop where she has sewn items for third parties.

Gloria is married, and together with her husband she has been able to overcome great adversity in her life. Gloria went through a time of crisis, during which she had to close her business. However, her desire to get ahead allowed her to overcome the crisis, and she has been able to re-open her sewing shop. Gloria, who desires to continue improving her sewing shop so she can offer her customers the best service, is asking for a loan which will make it possible for her to buy an overlock sewing machine. This will allow her to offer better-quality service to her customers and make her dressmaking business more agile.

Gloria hopes that her business will return to its previous levels of sales and that it will be able to generate income so she can improve her family's quality of life. She also wants to create jobs for people who need them most.
