A loan of $325 helped to buy ingredients to prepare her food.

Rosa Letty's story

Rosa, age 45, has four daughters, ages 7, 12, 23, and 24. She is a single mother, and she lives with her daughters in the Cerro Verde community in the Choloma municipality.

Rosa has been selling food (fried chicken with plantain slices, and ground meat pies) for three years. She works eight straight hours a day.

She was motivated to start her business by the lack of income to support her family and out of the necessity of educating her daughters.

Rosa has requested a loan for 6,000 lempiras to buy ingredients to prepare her food.

She hopes to continue supporting her daughters in completing their education.
