A loan of $575 helped to purchase supplies and work tools.

Rosa Maribel's story

Rosa is an enterprising young woman of 26 years of age. She lives with her spouse and two minor children in her residence which was left to her by her parents as an inheritance. The house where they live is located in Jayanca, located 20 minutes from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the department of Lambayeque.

From a very early age Rosa worked alongside her mother in the production of tamales and humitas, an activity she now carries out herself for the sustenance of her family. The knowledge she acquired from her mother has led her to start up this business, which she applies a bit more strategically since she sells not only from her own home but also distributes them door to door according to the orders she has. Along with her husband she gets up very early to begin producing the food, since the bond between the two of them and their children has induced them to set their objectives.

Rosa wishes to increase the size of her business so she may expand her customer base since she believes that, in spite of the competition, there is still market share into which she and her husband could foray. So she is seeking a loan with Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1,500 Peruvian soles with which to be able to purchase more supplies and acquire new work tools that will let her perfect her production methods.

Rosa is very well known for the kind of work she does, and that has allowed her to gain the affection of all her neighbors.
