A loan of $575 helped to make some structural improvements to the shed where she keeps her pigs.

Maria Eva's story

Maria is a person who has experienced difficulties in life but she has been able to overcome them thanks to her desire to make progress. Maria is a single mother and has seven children. Three of her children are still at an age where they need her care. As Maria is responsible for covering all her household expenses, she had to set up a business which would allow her to care for her children and work at the same time. For this reason, she started raising and selling pigs. Thanks to this business activity, she makes the income she needs to support her household. Maria has a suitable place where she raises her pigs but it is very small and doesn't allow her to keep any more pigs. With the aim of expanding her shed so that she can increase her number of pigs, Maria hopes to receive a loan which will allow her to make some structural improvements.

Maria hopes that this will increase her income as she will be able to have more pigs to sell to her customers. Maria hopes that her children will be able to enjoy a better quality of life and she dreams of getting them ahead in life so that they can make progress financially.
