Sope Khadim Group's story

Solidarity group Sope Khadim was established on December 24, 2010. It is made up of ten women coming from the same neighborhood and operating in the same sort of business, trading. Nogoye, standing on the right and rising her hand in the photograph, is responsible for the group. She's 40 years old, married, and the mother of seven children. She raises sheep, a business she masters well due to the fact that she's been running it for several years. She will use her part of the loan to buy two ewes that she will fatten and then resell after five or six months. Her profits will enable her to improve the standard of living of her family and bolster her savings at the Banc Villageois.
