A loan of $950 helped to buy bags of rice, sugar, cans of milk and canned fish.

Teodocia's story

49-year-old Teodocia is a single mother. She has five children but only lives with two of them (20 and 17 years old). She and her children live in their own home in Tarma district.

Teodocia is a woman who carries out her work with great care. Thanks to her determination, she was able to open a business in her own home. There she sells basic household products such as groceries, vegetables, canned goods, drinks, candies, etc. She says that buying all her merchandise took a lot of effort and hard work as she had to save up each month. As if this wasn't enough, Teodocia also prepares fast food which she sells in the afternoons and evenings outside her store. "Hamburgers and salchipollos are profitable because they sell every day", she says, adding that thanks to the location of her business (next to a sports complex) she sells all her food without problems. Over time, Teodocia hopes to consolidate her business into a minimarket where she will also offer beauty products, jewelry and perfume.

Teodocia has been working with MFP for a long time and this will be her 13th loan thanks to your help. She belongs to a united and supportive group called 'GS-006'. She is happy with their work. Teodocia will invest her money in buying merchandise with which to stock her store. Her priority is acquiring bags of rice, sugar, cans of milk and canned fish.
