A loan of $750 helped to buy fertilizer sacks and bean seed stock.

Hammer's story

Hammer is 19 and is a very dynamic and single young person. He lives with his parents and 2 siblings in their own home in Cayán, Huasahuasi district, Tarma Province. In spite of his age, Hammer is very hard-working. In his father's fields he tends crops such as potatoes, corn and beans.
After successfully finishing his studies, he began to help his father full time. He still hopes to study a technical or professional field, and through his own efforts hopes to become an independent man.
He plants about 40 bags of potato seed annually and 4 bags of bean seed, yielding abundant production. He is able to sell in the wholesale market of Tarma, whose buyers take the produce to other major markets in Lima, Arequipa, Ica and other cities of coastal Perú.
Hammer is clear in his goals and priorities and plans to have a family. He places his self-development first. This will be his 5th loan from MFP, and he is committed to prompt repayment. “Siempre Juntos”, is the name of his communal lender and he is very content to have the support of others.
He will invest these funds in buying sacks of organic fertilizer and bean seed stock, for the next harvest.
