Naise's story

Naise, 20 years old, is a young single woman. She lives with her parents and siblings in their own home in the small town of Cayán, Huasahuasi district, Tarma provine. She helps her parents in their agricultural work.

Since she was 15, she has dedicated a large part of her time to working on the land. Naise is a girl with good iniciative and an entrepreneurial spirit, this is why she encourages and helps her parents to invest in the land. Her family produces potatoes, peas, beans and corn. While her parents and older siblings work the land, she is in charge of preparing the foods that they transport to the sown fields.

She likes being part of the crop sales negotiation, this why, since very early on, every time her parents take their products to the wholesale market in Tarma, she goes with them.

The potatoes are their most requested product, since their district, Huasahuasi, is considered as the growing capital of the country so the purchasers give preference to local potatoes.

In time, Naise hopes to acquire more land to cultivate and at the same time to take courses in technical studies at the high school in the city.

This will be the 5th loan that she will obtain from MFP, and she promises to be punctual in paying her monthly payments. She belongs to the communal bank "Siempre Juntos" ("Always together") and, doing justice to its name, the members always work together to achieve their goals.

She will invest the money buying to bags of organic manure and sacks of animal dung for her parents sown fields. Each bag of manure costs 120PEN and each sack of dung is 5PEN.
