Jose Jacinto

A loan of $575 helped to buy livestock and animal feed.

Jose Jacinto's story

Jose is a 30 year-old father who lives with his wife and their 3 minor children. They live in a rural settlement called "Cachinche" which is the Mochumi district of Lambayeque province, about 15 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. In this area, most people make their living in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Jose tends daily to his business raising and selling livestock such as: cows and sheep; poultry, including ducks and turkeys; guinea pigs; and other animals. Jose has always done this kind of work. He has 3 years of experience with his business, but he has worked with livestock ever since he was very young alongside his parents, who taught him the business. He has been able to set up special spaces on his property for raising these animals. In addition, he also generates a daily income by working as a day laborer on the various farms near his settlement. The union of Jose and his wife has meant that they have defined some new goals for their family, and it is for this reason that they both work each day in order to achieve them and in this way improve their living conditions.

Jose, with clear and established goals, wants to buy animal feed to fatten his animals, and he also wants to buy more animals with the objective of increasing his sales. Jose has requested a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the sum of 1,500 Peruvian soles, which will help him to increase his income so that he can improve his quality of life, and at the same time, pay back the loan he is requesting.
