A loan of $200 helped to buy serpentine stone for making miniature sculptures.

Pedro Moises's story

Moises continues as a member of one of Asociación Arariwa's community banks which is located in Cusco department. This community bank is in its third year and all its members are doing well.

Moises continues living in the historic city of Cusco, in Cusco department, Peru. Most people in the city of Cusco work in tourism-related businesses and services.

Moises continues making handicrafts. He makes miniature sculptures that reflect Incan and pre-Incan culture out of serpentine stone. For example, he makes replicas of the city of Machu Picchu. Moises did very well with his previous loan and was able to increase his income. On this occasion, he needs a loan to buy more materials such as serpentine stone that he brings in from the city of Agua Calientes (110 kilometers from Cusco).

Moises is grateful for the opportunity that he is being given and pledges to make his loan repayments on time.
