A loan of $575 helped to buy fertilizers and nutritionally-balanced feed.

Manuel's story

Manuel is a young father of one child. He is 31 years old and lives together with his wife in a small rural village whose residents work exclusively in farming and livestock raising. Their village is called CP-3 and it is located in Tambogrande district, a few minutes from Piura province. As their village is still developing, right now the only basic service they receive is electricity.

Manuel is a man who has spent most of his life working in the countryside, whether farming or raising livestock. These are businesses that supported his parents and himself when he was young. Now that he has his own family, he puts into practice what he learned as a boy. Manuel farms and his wife raises, fattens and sells farmyard animals such as turkeys, ducks, sheep, etc. They both plan to increase their income because they would like to improve their living conditions both for themselves and their son. They would like to provide their son with good food and a good education.

Manuel has decided to request a loan for 1,500 soles from Edpyme Alternativa. He has a lemon orchard and needs to buy fertilizers so that he can improve his production. He will also buy nutritionally-balanced feed for the animals that his wife raises.
