A loan of $825 helped to expand her stocks of flour, buy 50 kg of sugar, trays of eggs, and flavourings.

Valentine's story

This borrower is a 44-year-old married mother of four children, all of whom attend school. Having taken into account her family's difficulties in making ends meet, she began a small pastry shop. She started preparing cakes, brioches, and madeleines, which she makes at home with an artisanal oven.

She has already benefited from two loans, which she repaid successfully, and has built up considerable savings.

With this new loan, she is going to buy two 50-kg bags of flour, two cases of trays of eggs, and 50 kg of sugar. Indeed, her intention is to expand her business by opening two additional sales stands and increasing her production volume.

Her long-term ambition is to open a pastry shop and tea salon, where she will be able to employ two young workers to help with the cooking and selling.
