Alhamdoulillah Group's story

The Alhamdoulilahi solidarity group was created on 27 December 2010 and comprises eight women from the same area whose main activity is business.

The group leader, Codou, is a 46-year-old married mother of five children; she has sold fabric and cosmetics for over 10 years and has gained considerable experience. In the photo, she is standing on the right, dressed in a multicoloured boubou with a white shawl around her shoulders.

She gets her supplies of fabric (of 'wax', 'voile', 'khartoum', etc. styles), perfume, beauty creams, etc. in the capital and re-sells them at the central market in her area.

She hopes to expand her business in order to satisfy her customers and earn a greater income.

She contributes to providing for her family.
