Angelina's story

23-year-old Angelina is a hard-working woman who lives together with Jhonatan, her husband of Three years. The couple have a daughter, Nayeli, who they care for in a rental house, in the small village of Jatumpampa. Angelina still does not own her own farmland but she is saving up the little that she has to buy a plot and make progress. Her business is farming. She sows potatoes which is her main production because, as she says, it is the food that people eat every day and there is no loss. Every day, from the time the sun first comes up, she heads for her fields where she fertilizes, prunes and irrigates. Sometimes she cares for other people's crops for which they pay her a little more and she is able to provide financial support to her family who need it so badly. Every harvest time, Angelina travels to the city of Huancayo together with her husband who sells the crops in the main wholesale market. Angelina's husband works as a laborer on other people's crops too and thereby earns extra money. The couple are planning to start out in business buying and selling animals. Angelina belongs to the "Jatumpampa al Progreso" community bank and this is her third loan from MFP. She hopes to receive your cooperation so that she can carry out her plans. For her part, she pledges to make her repayments on time. She enjoys being a member of her community bank because all the members are responsible and supportive people. With your support, Angelina will invest the money she has requested in buying natural fertilizers to spread over her "blanca" and "Huairo" potato crops.
