Eulogia's story

Eulogia, 31, is a modest woman. She lives with Moisés, her husband of six years. Together they have three children, all minors. As a family they live in their own house in the community of Jatumpampa. Three years ago she began to venture into agriculture. Before she was only a farmworker and she worked for other people. She never liked to stay; she knows she has a long road to travel. She wants to have various plots of land for planting her crops, for animals, and for a large-scale production. Her shy eyes are synonymous with wisdom. Now she grows potatoes and "olluco" [an Andean tuber] on rented land, where she pays the rent annually so she does not worry about monthly expenses. She also makes the most of the experience of her husband, who knows the potato suppliers in the city of Huancayo, one of the largest in the country, where she sells her entire harvest and earns a good sum of money. She knows the profits she gets are contingent, so she is planning to get into buying and selling animals. She belongs to Jatumpampa al Progreso Communal Bank, and this is her fourth loan with MFP, for which she hopes for your collaboration so she can realize her plans. On the other hand she promises to make her payments on time. Also, she likes being part of her bank because all the members are responsible and supportive people. If she receives her support, Eulogia will invest the requested money in buying natural fertilizers to spread on her potato plants.
