A loan helped to buy raw materials for his business.

Icle Renam's story

Icle is a 38-year-old man. He is married to Letisia and the couple have four children. They have lived in "Abraham Calazacón" parish, in Santo Domingo, for 10 years. Santo Domingo is a canton in "Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas" province, one of the most densely populated areas in Ecuador. It attracts many visitors because there are a number of monuments located around the city, including the 'Monument to the Red Indian', in a sector known as 'Y del Colorado'. Santo Domingo is a privileged canton and is home to wonderful, hard-working, entrepreneurial people who work tirelessly to get on in life and make progress. They always receive tourists with open arms and show them how wonderful their culture and environment is.

Icle works in a metal shop, making doors and windows. He has been in this business for 8 years and learned the trade in a previous job. His workday is unlimited. He tells us that he works "all day" together with his wife. Icle would like to invest in buying raw materials. He would like to expand his business and plans to use this loan to achieve his goal. He trusts in Fundación Alternativa which is the intermediary institution that works between lcle and his lenders around the world. He likes them because of the speed with which they have given him his first loan.

Icle's dream is to have a bigger business. For this reason, he has started to expand it. He would like to make more income so that he can provide his family with a better quality of life.
