Update on Lucrecia

Lucrecia is a 35-year-old mother who lives in her own home together with her husband and five dependent children. They live in a rural village called 'Paredones Alto' which is located some 10 minutes from Morrope district, in Lambayeque province. The people in this area mainly farm, raise livestock and make handicrafts. They live in developing, rural villages which do not receive basic services.

Lucrecia spends every day raising farmyard birds, especially turkeys, which she later sells. She has a large number of birds which she has worked hard to raise and fatten. She has spaces on her property where she raises her animals. Lucrecia works together with her husband and children, undertaking new family projects together. They work every day to achieve their goals and thereby improve their living conditions. Her husband works every other day in a mill in the village which gives the family extra help.

Lucrecia's home is in a bad state of repair owing to the constant rains and, for this reason, she has decided to request a loan for 1,500 soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy building supplies which she will use to repair the worn parts and thereby maintain her family's good health.

Lucrecia, her husband and children are all hard-working, kind people who are very well respected by their neighbors. They have earned this respect through their hard work and commitment to their work.

Lucrecia es una madre de familia de 35 años de edad, vive en su casa propia con su esposo y sus 5 hijos dependientes, vive en un caserío rural de nombre “Paredones Alto” ubicado a unos a unos 10 minutos del distrito de Morrope el cual pertenece a la provincia de Lambayeque y esta a unas 2 horas aproximadamente, los pobladores de la zona en la que vive se dedican netamente a la agricultura, ganadería , artesanía entre otros, son caseríos rurales que están en vías de su desarrollo por lo que aun no cuentan con servicios básicos.

Lucrecia se dedica de manera diaria a la crianza y posterior comercialización de aves de corral en especial pavos, en la actualidad cuenta con una gran cantidad de aves los cuales ha criado y engordado con gran esfuerzo, para lo que ha podido instalar en su propia casa espacios estratégicos para la crianza de los mismos, la unión con su esposo y sus hijos ha hecho que emprendan en nuevos objetivos familiares y es que por eso trabajan diariamente para lograrlos y así mejorar su condición de vida, su esposo de manera interdiaria trabaja en un molino del mismo caserío ayudando de esa manera a la canasta familiar.

La casa de Lucrecia esta en malas condiciones debido a las constantes lluvias y por eso ha decidido solicitar un crédito en Edpyme Alternativa por un monto de 1500 Nuevos Soles, para la compra de materiales de construcción con los que pueda reparar las partes deterioradas y así conservar la buena salud y los cuidados correspondientes de su familia

Lucrecia y su esposo y sus hijos son personas trabajadoras, amables y muy respetadas por sus vecinos de la zona en la que viven, derechos que se lo han ganado en base a su esfuerzo y dedicación al trabajo.

Concurrent and Successive Loans

Our Field Partners often work with borrowers over a series of loans as the borrowers build credit, take out bigger loans, and expand their businesses. In order to make it easier for our Field Partners to post loans for borrowers who have been listed on Kiva before, we allow them to post successive and concurrent loans for their Kiva borrowers. These "add-on" loans are typically smaller than the borrower's primary loan and serve a different purpose. Because Field Partners can now post loans as successive and concurrent loans, you will be able to track borrower progress over time and see the various ways a borrower is working with our Field Partners through funds from Kiva’s lenders.
