A loan of $650 helped to buy fertilizer for his pineapple crop.

Elvin Ever's story

Elvin, age 30, is married and has four children. The children are 15, 11, 5, and 1; only one of them goes to school. He lives in the rural village of Santa Cruz de Yojoa.

He is a farmer, and he grows pineapples to sell. The area where he farms is suitable for this business activity. He has been farming with much effort and dedication for one year. The production that he gets he distributes at the local market. That is where he has managed to get the needed resources to support his household. He devotes three hours a day to it.

He is currently requesting his second loan for 12,000 lempiras to buy fertilizer for his crop.

His goal is to achieve better pineapple production in order to improve his family’s quality of life.
