A loan of $750 helped to buy cacao plants.

Julio's story

30-year-old Julio is a cheerful and hard-working man who likes to do well in life. He lives in his own home together with his wife, 26-year-old Dionicia, and his young son Maicol who is 4 years old. Julio is a man who enjoys being in the green fields of his farm, surrounded by the cacao plants that he produces. He enjoys seeing that he has good-quality production as he knows that this means the warehouses will pay him very well for every kilo of cacao. For this reason, he is always caring for his crops. He has been in this business for 15 years and at harvest time he relies on the support of laborers as they enable him to pick his fruit quickly. Over time, he would like to open a store so that his wife can work peacefully and they can both support their household expenses. However, his main priority is growing more cacao plants on his land.

This will be Julio's 8th loan from MFP. He pledges to make his repayments on time and feels happy to be a member of his community bank. He will use the 2,000 soles he has requested to buy cacao plants so that he can expand his farm.
