A loan of $1,175 helped to buy fabric wholesale and a cutting machine.

Lourdes's story

Lourdes works making and selling petticoats that women who wear "polleras" [traditional Andean skirts] wear under their skirts. She makes her sales in the populous market in the city of El Alto. She also has two workshops, one in the area of the beltway and the other in the Alto Tacagua area, where she works and hires labor. Her husband works in another job. He is a contractor for different construction projects.

She will invest the loan in increasing her capital, purchasing fabric and a cutting machine. This will improve her job because she has a lot of requests to deliver.

She is a very hardworking and enterprising person who wants to improve her job. She wants to be able to sell her products in the cities of Oruro and Cochabamba and so increase her market. She feels grateful to the institution for the support offered.
