El's story

Mrs. El R. and her husband, Mr. Nos Him, are dried fish sellers. They both earn about $10 a day and take care of seven children, all of whom are enrolled in school. She lives with her family in the Bei Village in the Chrung Chumres I Sangkat in Phnom Penh City. Because of her business, she can help her children to go to school and pay her family’s living expenses.

In order to help her husband support their large family, R. now requests a loan of $1000 to increase her inventory of dried fish and further her children’s studies. She appreciates Kiva and promises to be prompt in repaying her loan.
