A loan of $1,200 helped a member to buy snacks and cold drinks for her canteen business.

Munawar's Group's story

Munawar is married and 41 years old, and she runs a canteen in a nearby school. She sells different snacks and cold drinks, and also prepares her own local food which is very popular among school children. The income she earns helps her to pay the school fees for her 5 children who are studying in different classes. Her husband is a watchman. He takes care of his community people and earns a monthly income.

Munawar has applied for a loan from KIVA partner Asasah for her canteen business. With the loan investment, she will buy cooking materials, snacks and cold drinks that will allow her to earn more profits from her business. She is very confident that her business will grow further after the loan investment, and that will allow her children to continue their education.
