A loan of $750 helped to purchase some sheep.

Rocio's story

Rocio, 19, lives with her parents and her 3 younger siblings, whom she supports, in a rented home located in the city of Huancayo. In spite of her young age, she is accomplishing a lot. She is studying for an accounting degree in a distinguished institute, and thanks to this she is now working in a well-known firm, doing word processing for the business. She does this in the mornings, because in the afternoons she studies. Now that it is the school vacation she is working in her business buying and selling sheep, which she cares for in Huari, where she has her own home. There she sells the sheep for a better price than what she paid for them. In addition, she supports her mother with her cultivations of potatoes, oca (a South American tuber), nashua and beans, by purchasing fertilizers and advising her on these purchases. Her main goal is to finish her university degree, and so to do this she works tirelessly, as the monthly household expenses are high and she has to pay them. She is a member of the communal bank "Santa Teresa," and this is the second loan that she has taken with MFP, where she awaits a small loan to help her achieve her goals. Moreover, she promises once again to comply with the payment terms of the loan. In addition, she appreciates being part of her communal bank, because all of the members are supportive and responsible people. Upon receiving your support, Rocio will invest the money requested in the purchase of a number of sheep for her business.
