A loan of $375 helped to purchase sacks of fertilizer.

Victoria's story

Victoria, is a shy woman. She lives with her husband, Pedro and her daughter, Martha. They live in their own home, located in the town of Rundo. They live on their farmland, in a rustic house. There, she dedicates her life to agriculture, mainly growing potatoes, olluco, (a root vegetable grown in the Andean region of South America), and corn in bulk. Together, Victoria and her husband care for the crops daily and share in the care of their cows, pigs, and sheep. They earn extra income selling the milk produced by the cows and marketing the pigs and sheep to the butchers that come to Anexo each month. Despite the remoteness of the place, she feels happy because she really enjoys being in touch with nature. For this reason, she wishes to improve her fields and continue sowing other varieties of food. This is her tenth loan with MFP, and she is hoping for a small loan so that she may fulfill her goals. Once more, she promises to make her payments on time. In addition, she is pleased to be a part of the association because all of the members are responsible and share a feeling of solidarity. Upon receiving her loan, Victoria will invest the amount requested in the purchase of organic fertilizer to nourish her corn and potato fields.
