Ana Cecilia's story

Ana is originally from Granada. She is married and her husband works in Costa Rica. She has 2 daughters, 18 and 5 years old, and the older daughter attends university.

Ana began selling used clothing that her mother sent her from the United States so that she could help. She has had this business for 5 years, and in addition she sells school supplies. She has a mini bookstore in which she invests products. She began it at 36 years old with 5 years of experience. She also invests in very useful products for the nearby primary schools in her neighborhood. Her sister helps her to sell in her house while Ana takes care of charging customers.

She is requesting this loan to purchase school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, books, highlighters, erasers, and school uniforms. Her goal is to have a bigger bookstore business that can be self-sustaining and not depend solely on loans, and that will be able to provide work for other people.
