A loan of $500 helped a member to pay for labor to harvest cassava.

Voeun's Group's story

Voeun, 57, is a married mother of five children, living in a village in the Ponhea Krek district. For the past 15 years, she and her husband have been earning a living by farming rice and planting cassava. Voeun earns almost US $5 per day with her current business.

This is the first loan for Voeun's 2-member group with Kiva’s field partner, VisionFund. As the leader, Voeun wants to use her loan to pay for labor to harvest cassava. She hopes that this loan will help to make her life better.
