A loan of $1,050 helped to buy fabric and thread.

Glenda Patricia's story

Glenda, age 31, is single because she is a widow. She has four children (two girls and two boys), ages 16, 13, 10 and 18 months. She lives in an urban area in the San Pedro Sula municipality, Cortés.

Ever since her husband died, Glenda has had the responsibility for raising her children alone. That is why she decided to sew. She makes bed linens and curtains in addition to selling shirts, blouses, and children’s clothes.

Glenda has requested a loan for 20,000 lempiras to buy materials to make bed linens and curtains (fabric and thread). She delivers her customers’ orders to them.

She hopes to help her children with their education and to have an active line of credit in order to keep her business stocked.
