Mujeres Al Poder Group's story

'Mujeres al Poder' (Women in Power) is a communal bank of 18 women, all friends and neighbors, in the city of Asunción. They decided to join the program for female entrepreneurs so that they can help each other and improve their lifestyles for themselves and for their families.

Gladys is one of the group members. She is a very hardworking and enterprising woman, who explains that she makes and sells all kinds of food such as empanadas and sandwiches, among others. She has been maintaining and supporting her family through her business, and dreams of having a premises where she can sell her dishes and thus continue to grow.

Gladys is seeking a loan to stock up on meat, bread, condiments and other supplies to be able to keep producing the food that she sells. She is thankful to the foundation and to Kiva for the opportunity she is receiving.
